Kathleen Rooney returned to the Alleyway Theatre in 2025, playing Marjorie in BLACK BEAR ISLAND. Previously she played The Director in A.R.T.’s production of SHYLOCK. While a member of First Look Buffalo’s ensemble, her roles included Immigration Officer in OVERLAY,  Woman in THE INTERVIEW, Quinn in ONE BAR, and Ms. Johnson in ELF SPACE. With the Brazen-Faced Varlets she  portrayed four nasty Nazi Fraus in ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT and Donna/Shura in THE ANASTASIA TRIALS IN THE COURT OF WOMEN. Other roles include Lucy/Lucille in SCOTCH AND MADNESS at Alleyway Theatre; Mother in Post-Industrial Productions’ AFTER THE FALL; Helga ten Dorp in the Lancaster Opera House production of DEATHTRAP; and at the New Phoenix Theatre, Eve in IN THE BEGINNING and Sarah in WAY BACK WHEN. Kathleen’s training includes The Neighborhood Playhouse and HB Studio, in New York City.
